02.29.04 (5:10 am)   [edit]
Hi Folks,

Well, I've had to make a tough decission. This blog will no longer be active.

Due to increased interest in my eBook, "Dumpster Diving for eBay Profits," and it's associated news letter, I find I must devote more time and attention to these.

I thank you for visiting, and hope you've been able to learn some things from this blog.

Blessings,
Pete Egeler

CICash.. Let's Make Some Cash!
02.11.04 (6:31 pm)   [edit]
This time around, we're going to start the ball rolling to see if we can't help you Create some Internet Cash...

To begin with, I'm going to tell you about a program that will cost you NOTHING to join, although you do have the option of "upgrading" for more income, and greater control of the product.

This program is called.. CBPromoter, and costs not one single penny to be a part of it.

CBPromoter allows you to promote various ClickBank products, and make commissions on the sales.

Of course, the FREE version doesn't give you as much room to change things as the paid one does, but it's a great way to start.

There's no sense in spending your hard earned cash on something if it doesn't work!

So, I recommend that you skip on over and take a closer look at CBPromoter for yourself. As I said, it's 100% FREE to start out with, and if you start building up an income, THEN you can take a look at switching over to the paid plan.

Do I continue? Or, do I scrap it?

It's hard for me to tell if this blog is worth my time and effort. Never hear from anyone, one way or the other.

So, my question to YOU is.. Should I keep it, or drop it?

I'm giving serious thought to starting up another regular eZine to replace this blog, and it would of course, be by subscription only.

Just click on "Comment" and let me know your thoughts.

Keep it? or Scrap it?

See you next time..

Last post we discussed one of the ways to promote your affiliate programs, and here's another.

If you have your own web site (And, you SHOULD,) set up a "Resources" page.

On that page, you can list all of your affiliate programs with a brief description, and a link.

I've noticed from my stats, that more & more of the visitors to my site are clicking on my "Resources" button, and from there, moving toward the various sales pages for the products.

One thing I've started doing, is CLOAKING my affiliate link in order to prevent theft. It's real easy to do and it's FREE. just go to: Shrink My Link put your affiliate url in the box, and click on "shrink it." Be sure you click on "Cloak" instead of "redirect" too.

By now, you should have found a program or two that you'd be interested in promoting in order to earn some $$.

So.. Just how do you get the word out about your program?

Well, if you have your own web site, make sure that you have links to your programs (books, software, etc.,) located on your page. You'll pick up clicks from your visitors that way.

Probably one of the best ways to get visitors that are interested in your programs, is through forums.

Now you don't just show up on a forum and blast an ad for the affiliate program.

Visit several times, and get a feel for what's going on.

If you have questions.. Ask.

If you have answers.. Give them.

Then, always close with your signature, which can contain a link to one of your affiliate programs.

If you don't have a sig line in your email, go into your email settings and put one in there too. That way, anyone you email will see your affiliate link.

By the way.. DO NOT be stupid, and try spamming folks.

That will get you shot down faster than Custer at the Last Stand! NEVER contact anyone without their permission.

1) It make 'em mad.
2) It will most probably end in you being kicked out of the affiliate program you're spamming.

JUST SAY NO.. To Spam!

CICash.. Affiliate Income Part #3
02.06.04 (7:06 pm)   [edit]
So now I've told you of a couple of the affiliate programs that I belong to that I PAY to be a member of.

There are probably a dozen others that I am involved in that I... 1) Don't pay to be a part of; 2) Pay a good commission; 3) Have a web site so I don't have to have my own.

As I've mentioned before, I tend to stick with programs that are handled through ClickBank. You get paid on a regular basis, and you decide at what level you want them to start sending you the checks.

Now ClickBank does only handle affiliate programs that deal in "digital" products. In other words, the mailman isn't going to come knocking on your door, you download everything. (They are considering changing that though.)

And, in spite of what you may think, it's not all Internet Marketing materials.

There are several business categories, as well as health, finances, etc.

Just keep an eye out for programs that offer you 25% or more of the sales price as a commission. I stay away from anything that won't pay me at least $10 a sale.

Now, go out there and line up some programs!

Next time we'll find out how you PROMOTE those programs you've joined!

See you later.

CICash.. Making $$ as an Affiliate..

Last time we started looking at ways to make money as an affiliate.

This, of course, involves NO cash outlay on your part.

All you have to do is go to ClickBank, find a product you'd like to promote, and go for it.

Now you'll notice that I usually recommend ClickBank.

Why? 'Cause I like getting checks every two weeks, big or small, with no bull! :) You even tell them at what point in your earnings you want them to start sending you checks!

From time to time, I WILL join as an affiliate, where I pay something to join.

I told you about one in the last blog, and the other one that I belong to costs me $17 a month.

Why would I spend $17 a month? Simple.. it's a site that also provides me with dozens of business ideas that I can use to form my own "real world" business, or online business.

The Business Fastlane is crammed full of great ideas and examples of what others have done to earn HUGE incomes.

To my way of thinking, it's the best $17 a month I spend, as I've gotten several ideas that I'm working on right now that will take me off of the "9-5" routine, and let me do WHAT I want, WHEN I want! :)

I mean, how many people do YOU know, that make several thousand a month selling butterflies?

Don't know about you, but that's important to me.

Pete

CICash.. How Busy Have I Been?...
02.03.04 (6:21 pm)   [edit]
Busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest!

During this series, we're taking a look at ways you can build an income through affiliate programs.

Now I promote a lot of products as an affiliate. 95% of them are associated with my auction directory, and fit right in without being in competition with it.

I don't get rich, but I do get a few bucks in the mail every couple of weeks. It really depends upon how hard I push a particular book, software, etc.

However, not everyone has an eBook to sell (yet,) or even a web site. So what do THEY do?

Well, I've found a neat little program that you can "test drive" that can bring you a very good amount of income, in a short time. Thing I like MOST about it (other than the fact it allows me to promote some very high quality products,) is the fact that payments are made right into my PayPal account.

The program is called Smart Subscriber Program.

The program builds you a mailing list, sends out newsletters that THEY write, but your Affiliate ID is in everything, and they offer tons of books, software, etc., and YOU collect on everyone sold.

It's pretty simple, and best part is, you can get a FREE 14-Day trial. After that, it's $27.00 a month, which will more than pay for itself with a minimal amount of work on your part.

By the way, you can cancel at anytime during the 14-Days and owe nothing, or if you decide to "go for it," you can still stop at any time.

I like it because of all the great materials, as I've said.

And, I've taken further advantage of the program by putting my affiliate links to some of the products on my own "resource" page of my web site.

Kinda like pulling both triggers on a double-barrel shotgun! You get a heck of a kick, and a wide pattern. :)

Why not check out the Smart Subscriber Program for yourself?
