I find it a bit amusing..

On thursday, I issued a challenge.

It wouldn't cost anyone a single dime.

It is NOT a business.

Yet not one single person has even taken advantage of an opportunity that could change their life forever!

It appears that most people would much rather sit on their butts and wring their hands, than to consider anything that might put them out of their "comfort zone."

And, from what I've seen so far, most people's "comfort zone" is the... "I've got nothing, I can't get anything, I'm a loser, because I don't have the guts to try," zone.

Okay, so you CAN'T stand to better yourself.

Too bad. :(

CICash.. Here's another "real life" biz idea.

Here's an idea you might try.

You'll need 1) A digital camera, and 2) Some Kodak Glossy photo paper.

Simply go around town, and take pictures of the really good looking store fronts.

Go home, load the pics into your computer, and print 'em out on the Kodak GLOSSY Photo paper.

Put the photo's in a nice frame, take them back and show them to the store owners.

In most cases, you won't have a problem selling them.

Take the price of the paper, (usually a buck or so,) add in the price of a frame, and charge 3-4 times your cost.

If the owner doesn't buy, pull his photo out of the frame, and slip a new one in. Try again. :)

I just came across a neat way to advertise your web site, or even a "brick & morter" business!

They call it [b]Web Decals[/b] but, they can do all kinds. (Like.. Billy Joe Bob's BBQ & Pool Hall)

You can even type out your "slogan" and see what it will look like, and what it would cost, before you make a purchse.

The concept is simple -- pick a topic that generates a lot of interest in your area then create a free emailed newsletter that focuses on that topic.

One topic you might consider is the Restaurant Sanitation Inspection Reports. Don't laugh -- when presented in a tabloid journalist style these
things can be really interesting and controversial. People have both a morbid curiosity and a genuine interest in knowing what kind of things were found in the food at their favorite restaurants.

Restaurant Sanitation Inspection Reports are public record and should be freely available in your area. Although restaurants would probably not be your best advertisers. :-)

Another topic you might focus on is Yard Sales. Currently the only place

people having yard sales can advertise in is the newspaper or shoppers.

Create a free weekly emailed newsletter that lists
all the area yard sales and provides more information than a small classified ad in the newspaper.

At first you'll have to get your listings from the newspapers but as you grow you can begin charging
people to list with you.

Creating Internet Cash... Build, build, build...

Well, if you're an eBayer, time is running out to hit the Christmas buyers!

I was running an auction earlier this week that was drawing tons of viewers, and a few small "starter bids" when my drop ship source RAN OUT OF PRODUCT!

Of course that ended up costing me 'cause I had to pull the plug on the auction.

I've got another one up and running, and may add one more this evening or tomorrow evening, with a 3-day limit on it. Don't want to miss the final shipments before Christmas!

Gotta hand it to my friend, Barbara Ling though! I never would have had such a rush on those auctions if it wasn't for her book, eBay Winter Holiday Profits

Good thing about it, if you have the connections (and I DO,) you can use the infomation to extend auction sales through Kwanzaa, which starts right after Christmas!

Got lucky for the first time in a gazillion years!

I've managed to land my final week of vacation during the coming Holidays. :)

Of course there will be the family gathering, dinner, presents, etc., but I'm ALSO spending the time working on a new book.

Sorry, but I just [b]HAVE[/b] to repeat the information in my last entry.

If you read the last entry, you know I mentioned a new ebook from my friend, Barbara Ling called eBay Winter Holiday Profits.

Well, I started doing some [b]SERIOUS[/b] reading of the book after I posted, and decided to try some of her advise, at once.

I'd just completed an auction that DID NOT sell. Had bids, but since I posted the auction with a "reserve" price, and it wasn't met.. the auction was a "bomb". (As in.. NO MONEY MADE.)

Well, I've put it back up using a couple of the tips that I got from reading Barbara's book.

No bids yet (I've come to expect nothing until the final few hours of an auction,) but more visitors in 24-hours than I got in all of the auction on the last run.

Among other things, I've urged you to consider setting up an eBay business as one means of creating Internet cash.

Now is the PERFECT time to do it!

A good product, a snappy headline, and you're off to the bank.

Just for giggles, I put a new Radio Controlled Police Hummer on 3-days ago.

There's about an hour left, and the bidding is up to $22.50 right now. [b]HOWEVER[/b].. since this IS a high-dollar item that retails for $149, I've set a reserved price of $50.00 on it, plus shipping.

If it sells, I'm going to drop a couple more on in the next few nights.

Toys like this are [b]HOT[/b] right now. I should know.. that's all my two grandsons talked about the other night! :)

Creating Internet Cash Blog... More Off-Line Income..

Here's another idea for building an off-line income that you may wish to take a look at.

Placemats.

What you do, is offer FREE placemats to area restaurants.

You pay for them, by selling small ads all around the edges of the placemat.

If you live in an area with lots of local restaurants (NOT franchises), you could do pretty well.

Sell ads to the local cleaners, auto dealers, theaters, lumber company, lawyers, dentists, etc.

Here's a great idea that could pick up a few hundred each week for you.. If you don't mind WORK.

A guy that does detail auto work, came up with a way to make used cars look better..(that make's them SELL better.)

He went to an auto paint store and got some "Bummper and Trim" paint.. black.

Went to a car lot, and found a good looking vehicle with door handles that were starting to turn "white" with wear.

Touched up on of the door handles, showed the results to the service manager, and IMMEDIATELY got a request to repaint the door handles on 70+ vehicles.

He charges $5.00 PER handle. His take on the first lot will be around $1000, and he'll clear around $800 after expenses.
