I recently purchased one of those Letters From Santa programs, complete with templates for Christmas, and more.

Sold a few letters on Ebay. BUT.. the best sales?

DAY CARE CENTERS!

Go to local day care centers, and offer them a cut if they will pass out your flyers to their customers.

I charge $6, and split 50/50 with the centers.

Many other ways to work this too. Lots of places looking for inexpensive fund raisers.

Welcome back...

Here's a Biz Idea that won't make you rich, but it could put a couple hundred bucks in your pocket each week.

Why not put out a paper?

Now I'm not talking about some big fancy "shopper" paper, or even a newspaper..

The one I've just started is a simple 8-1/2x11 4-page paper.

I have room for 16 ads in my little gem, and I charge $15 per ad.

Since I only run off a few hundred right now, I do it all on my computer/printer.

Distribute them to 7-11 type gas/grocery stores, medical buildings, dentist, etc... Free.

If you get a lot of action from potential advertisers, you can always add another page. :)

I just set up my program so the paper is in the landscape mode, and that gives me a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 paper when folded.

Give it a try. Might be something that leads to bigger & better things!

Let's take a look at a business I've been reading up on for the past couple of days. (There are several "off shoots" that you can use, also.)

I'm talkin'... Baby Newspapers.

Pretty simple.

You purchase the software ($29-$49 & up,) then use the templates to produce your own "Baby Newspapers" with information on new-borns.

Looks just like a newspaper, with baby's picture right in the middle, stats, and a stories fill out the page.

Going price seems to be $19.95 for the plain paper, add a frame and go up from there.

Once you've purchased the software, it's pretty much a "free ride," from there. Little or no other cash outlay until you really start cranking them out.

This time, we're going to take a look at a Biz Idea that can make you some pretty serious cash, WITHOUT even having to break a sweat!

Temporary Tattoos

Temporary Tattoos pull down some serious cash when you take the time to set up at a Flea Market, along the beach, anywhere there's plenty of traffic.

While your cost for the tattoos can range from a few cents to a few dollars, you can charge 5-10 times your cost for each one.

Application usually calls for a spray-bottle filled with water, a paper towel to wipe off any dripping water, and to smooth out the tattoo.

Temporary Tattoos typically bring in the stand operator an easy $100-$200 per day.

A wide variety is called for.. everything from tattoos for kids, to more adult versions.

If you do a quick Google search for: temporary tattoos wholesale, you'll find a ton of suppliers. And, some of the pages will give you complete information on how to apply the tattoos, the best places to set up, and how to charge for your tattoos.

Prices aren't too bad, although some companies do have a minimum order requirement of $50-$75.

Now, it's time for YOU to make money with.. CELL PHONES.

When it comes to reycled products, cell phones are one of the hottest items to come along in over 25-year.

You can make big bucks buying & selling, even by running collections for your community clubs and organizations.

A dozen used cell phones can bring you anywhere from $36 up.. The price varies as some are worth NADDA, while other models may bring as much as $75 each.

You can usually get them for a song at local flea markets, where I've found them for as little as $1.

Okay folks..

Tried to post this last night, but the site went down about the time I hit the "post" button.

At any rate, it does NOT show up on my searching, so I'm going to post this idea again.

Bear with me. :)

The Scrambler!

Here's a little business that can make you some very good money, in a short span of time.

Depending upon your area, you could run this business 1-2 a month, and pull a minimum of $1000 from each run.

The Scrambler, is an 8-1/2" x 11" flyer on bright colored paper.

On the back, you have your advertisers.. (8), and on the font is your offer. (Solve the scrambler, and you could win a $50 Gift Certificate to...X X X.)

In my particular area, I'm charging $200 to the "front" sponsor, and $100 to each of the "Back" sponsors.

The front sponsor gets to hand out the flyers. :)

5,000 flyers.. black in, two-sides, colored paper will run me $250. Plus, I will provide the Gift Certificate.. $50.

So, out of my $1000 Gross from the ad sales, I'll end up with $700 after expenses.

Now then.. since I'm only 40-miles from a Major TN city, and since there are several other small towns in my area, I could probably pull off a minimum of 3 flyers per month.

If I charge my regular fees here, and in the next small town, that's $2000.

But, if I go on to the "Big City" and do it, I can very well jump my add prices to $300-$400 for the Front Sponsor, and $150 or more for the Back Sponsors.

On the low end, that's at least $1500 from that flyer.

Of course I'll have to double printing runs, but still I'll be getting a quantity break.

Think about it. If you're not afraid to get out there and pound the pavement for 1-2 days, you can build a healthy little business.

This issue involves a simple little business you can start for probably under $20 with a little scouting around.

[u][b]Start a Plant Business[/b][/u]

If you're looking for a fairly simple business you can start at home, you might consider growing and selling plants.

You will need: Some pots or flats
A bottle of "Grow" Powder
A good healthy, full grown plant
Sand (NOT "play" sand)

Simple. Take cuttings from a plant you already have.

Dip the end of the cutting in grow powder, and stick it into the sand.

For example: My wife and I have a Gazillion Butterfly Bushes. Pink, white & purple.

In our neck of the woods (East Tennessee,) the purple butterfly bushes are most desired.

I built a growing bed, 4'x4', made of 1x6 boards. Filled it with about 4" of coarse sand, and I use that for my "starter" bed.

When ever I get ready to start some new bushes, I simple take a pencil, stick, whatever is handy, and poke holes in the sand, spacing them about 1" apart.

I then make cuttings from one of my purple butterfly bushes, strip off all but the top two leaves, dip the cut end into the grow powder, pop 'em into the hole in the sand, and tamp the sand firmly around the cutting.

After 3-4 weeks, the butterfly bush cuttings have grown a very good root system. I just transplant them into a small pot filled with potting soil.

After about 6-8 weeks, I've got a good sturdy plant that can be anywhere from 6" to 12" in height, and growing like a weed. :)

Sale price.. $1.50-$3.00 each at the local flea market.

Cost? About 4¢ per plant.

The key here is to have a small garden sprayer, and to set it so you get a fine "mist' when you pull the trigger.

Mist your bushes several times a day for the first week or so, to make sure they're getting plenty of moisture.

Of course, some plants/bushes take longer to grow, but now is a great time to get them started for next spring.

Try it. You might like it.
